Seahawk Outreach Services (SOS)

Broward College is aware that there are times when life can get in the way of your achieving your dreams. We would like to support your education not only inside but outside of the classroom by providing you a connection with community resources.

Broward College’s Food and Essentials Distribution Program/Seahawk Marketplace provides food and hygiene items to students who are in need. If you would like to apply for the distribution program, please complete the request form below.

If you are selected, you will receive an email confirming your pickup date, location and instructions to follow on distribution day. Selections will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Because of the limited availability of items, completing this request form does not guarantee that you will receive the items.

While the college has exhausted its inventory of loaner laptops, we do have webcams available.

If you already own a laptop or computer that does not have a webcam, the college can loan you one if you meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a degree-seeking program (continuing education, non-degree, non-credit, and dual enrollment students are NOT eligible).
  • Be registered and have Fall 2020 classes PAID for (or have set up a Nelnet payment plan) prior to your request.

If you meet the above criteria and would like to request a webcam, use the link below to apply. Please note that our supply is limited and is issued on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have any further questions or concerns, please email us at
