Student Leadership and Mentoring Program

Broward College has partnered with PeerForward and AmeriCorps to launch, the first of its kind, Peer Mentoring and Leadership program.

Peer Leaders can mentor and support you each step of the way as you work towards completing your degree and reaching your educational goals. Peer Leaders are curent students or BC alumni just like you who have been trainged in leadership and mentoring skills to be able to provide the best possible support to become a successful student.

Assist and inspire other students

Peer Leaders mentor and support current Broward College students. All Peer Leaders receive a living allowance and various benefits - including an education award after successfully completing a service year with the program.

Assist and support Peer Leaders

Faculty mentors will be paired with at least one staff member to form a mentorship team for peer leaders. The purpose of mentorship teams is to provide academic guidance to students as they create SMART goals for the academic year and in the design and implementation of initiative objectives.

Advisement/Educational Planning – assists with planning your academic schedule and other related issues.

Student Assistance Program - Counseling services are available to all Broward College students.

Career Center – provides career counseling, vocational and personality testing and information on colleges/universities and careers.

Accessibility Resources – you may be eligible to receive some additional assistance with appropriate documentation.

Academic Success Center – provides free tutoring and academic learning labs for most general education classes.
